Minor-A is a new series of interactive educational musical workshops/programs for young adults about Jewish state, people, history, and culture. During these workshops, the participants will have a chance to familiarize themselves with different trends in Jewish Musical Culture, traditions, holidays in different ethnical groups (Hebrew, Yiddish, Ladino). They will learn the lyrics, understand the meaning of songs associated with Jewsih and Israeli holidays. They will learn more about the history of Jewish people and history of Israel.

Around the World with Jewish Music: Then and Now! is an exquisite and enthralling educational music program featuring Ashkenazi and Sephardi History, Music, Songs, Languages and Traditions.  The program is interactive: the audience will sing, dance and play musical instruments throughout the concert along with the performers.  Around the World with Jewish Music: Then and Now! is performed by internationally known performing artists Peter Omelchenko (a virtuoso domrist) and Anna Kusner (a classical guitarist). The program is narrated by Luda Bard (Professor of Biological Sciences and Faculty Advisor for the Jewish group at HCC).

The doors open at noon. Howard Community College, HVPA building, Smith Theater 10901 Little Patuxent Pkwy, Columbia, MD 21044

Overcoming Adversity with Love is an exquisite and enthralling educational program. This major event features Jewish History, Music, Songs, Travels and much more.

This program takes you on a journey of Jewish people from Abraham to the creation of Israel state. You will hear familiar Jewish melodies and will be introduced to new sounds. The program is interactive: the audience will sing, dance in their seats, and play musical instruments during the concert. The program is performed by internationally known performing artists Peter Omelchenko (a virtuoso domrist) and Anna Kusner (a classical guitarist).
